Reggio Calabria, July 7 - Reggio Calabria Carabinieri police on Tuesday were executing warrants to detain 116 people in a massive operation targeting the bosses of the most important clans of the powerful Calabrian 'Ndrangheta mafia, sources said. Over 1,000 officers took part in the operation, the sources said. The op enabled police to map some 23 'Ndrangheta clans, police said. A son of one of the clan bosses was captured on a wiretap saying "I'm the State here".
