Vatican City, January 22 - Pope Francis has authorised the Congregation for the Causes of Saints to promulgate decrees regarding miracles and martyrdom, putting three blesseds closer to sainthood and seven others further along the path to beatification, the Vatican said on Friday. The three decrees putting blesseds in line for canonisation regard miracles attributed to the intercession of Blessed Stanislaus of Jesus and Mary Papczyski, O.I.C., Founder of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary; Blessed Jose Gabriel del Rosario Brochero, Diocesan priest; and Blessed Blessed José Luis Sánchez del Río, a layperson and martyr. Two decrees regard miracles attributed to the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God Francesco Maria Greco and the Venerable Servant of God Elisabetta Sanna, putting them in line for beatification. Three decrees regard the martyrdom of Venerable Servant of God Fr. Engelmar Unzeitig CMM, Servant of God Genaro Fueyo Castaón, and Servant of God Justo Takayama Ukon. Two decrees regard the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Arsenio da Trigolo and the Servant of God Maria Luisa del Santissimo Sacramento.
