Alessandria, January 19 - Alessandria coach Angelo Gregucci has devoted his side's fairy-tale Italian Cup win over Spezia to Piermario Morosini, an Italian pro who died after collapsing during a second-tier match in 2012. Lega Pro outfit Alessandria came from behind to beat Serie B Spezia 2-1 on Monday thanks to a late double by Riccardo Bocalon to become only the second third-tier side to reach the semi-finals of the Cup after Bari pulled off the feat in the 1983-1984 season. The team from the northern city now face AC Milan in the last four after knocking out Serie A sides Palermo and Genoa during their remarkable Cup run. "On the most beautiful night of my professional career, I'd like to remember a wonderful lad who I coached - Piermario Morosini," said Gregucci. Gregucci coached Morosini between 2007 and 2009 when he was in charge of Vicenza in Serie B. Morosini suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while playing for Livorno against Pescara in April 2012.
