Ambassador confident of good news on ENI in Iran (2)

Rome, January 19 - Iranian Ambassador to Rome Jahanbakhsh Mozaffari told an ANSA forum Tuesday that he was hopeful there will soon there will "good news about the return of ENI to Iran" after the end of international sanctions. "ENI has a privileged position in Iran," he said. "ENI did not leave Iran until it had completed its commitments and our relations with ENI were not interrupted". Mozaffari said Tehran will offer international oil companies wanting to work in Iran "new conditions and new types of contracts". He added: "I think they are quite interesting (conditions and contracts). Indeed, negotiations are already taking place".
