'Kabul rocket attack on West, not just Italy' says Gentiloni

Brussels, January 18 - Sunday's rocket attack near the Italian embassy and aid compound in Kabul was aimed at the West and NATO generally, Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said Monday on his way in to a summit of EU foreign ministers in the Belgian capital. "I believe Western diplomatic outposts and NATO were the target, not Italy (per se)," Gentiloni said. The Taliban Islamist fundamentalist militia has claimed responsibility for the attack that left two Afghan security guards slightly injured.
