Soccer: Inter agree to sign Shaqiri from Bayern, update

(ANSA) - Milan, January 8 - Bayern Munich said Thursday that it's official: Inter Milan will sign Swiss midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri on Friday. In a post on its website, Bayern said the player will undergo a medical before signing on Friday. "There is total agreement between Inter and Bayern Munich for the arrival of @XS_11official," Inter said earlier in the day via Twitter, referring to the player by his Twitter account. "Signing (contracts) is all that's left to do".
The 23-year-old was expected to sign a contract running until 2019, with the German champions getting a transfer fee of around 15 million euros.
