Italian hotel prices up this year
(ANSA) - Rome, September 9 - The price of Italian hotels has gone up 2% in the first six months of 2014, according to the Hotel Price Index of international booking website Hotels.com. According to the online reservation service, travelers who stayed at an Italian hotel in the first semester of 2014 spent on average 129 euros for a room per night, although prices varied significantly across the country. Capri, Positano and Bellagio had the most expensive hotel rooms while Pompei (the town next to ancient Pompeii), Catania and Brescia had the cheapest rates.
