Rightist extremists 'attacked Bangladeshis'

Rome, January 14 - A group of Italian rightist extremists organised 'punitive raids' against Bangladeshi immigrants in Rome in recent years, police said Thursday. Police said they arrested 13 people suspected of "various acts of violence". The four alleged ringleaders, police said, reportedly belonged to the rightist group Forza Nuova, which preaches extreme rightwing views but decries violence. The attacks spanned the 2012-2014 period, police said.
