Frascati man held in Russian stabbing death in Rome - update
(ANSA) - Rome, May 2 - A 24-year-old man from Frascati was arrested Friday in the stabbing death of a 26-year-old Russian in a Rome street while they were returning home in separate groups from the May Day rock concert in the Italian capital Thursday night. Police were confident they had arrested the murderer, who allegedly stabbed his victim after a violent quarrel stemming from their 2009 convictions on drugs charges. The 24-year-old happened to see the Russian and started shouting at him for allegedly fingering him, police said. After they came to blows the younger man took out a knife and plunged it into his rival's heart, also perforating his lung, police said.
