Poste Italiane to open services to Poste Mobile competitors

Decision by antitrust authority following report from HG3

Poste Italiane to open services to Poste Mobile competitors

Rome, January 4 - All mobile telecommunications operators and not just Poste Mobile can now use parent company Poste Italiane's network to commercialise services and products following a decision by Italy's antitrust authority, sources said Monday. The decision came in response to a report filed by competitor HG3 denouncing Poste Italiane for allegedly denying it access to "its exclusive goods and services in relation to the management of the universal service on equivalent terms to those offered to its subsidiary Poste Mobile". The antitrust authority ordered the postal and financial services provider to "refrain" from similar behaviour in future. photo: Poste Italiane CEO Francesco Caio
