Journo headbutted by Spada attacked again

Rome, February 13 - A journalist who was headbutted last year by a member of Ostia's Spada crime family was attacked again Wednesday along with his RAI crew by local inhabitants while filming a probe into clans in Pescara in Abruzzo. Daniele Piervincenzi, who is now a correspondent of the new Raidue show Popolo Sovrano (Sovereign People), was attacked along with filmmaker Sirio Tomassi and journalist David Chierchini. They were assaulted by residents of the Rancitelli district while working on an investigative report into "clans on the periphery of Pescara," the State broadcaster said. Piervincenzi's nose was broken in last year's attack by Roberto Spada while investigating the Ostia-based clan's alleged support for neofascist group CasaPound in the Roman coastal town. Piervincenzi also fronts coverage of Italian rugby matches on D-Max.
