Rome, January 27 - The Italian Catholic Church plans to propose films to watch every Thursday on a theme linked to mercy - the virtue at the centre of Pope Francis' special Jubilee this year. The film appreciation commission of the Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI) will publish the films online along with analytical readings of their significance. "The point is to offer a selection of films to rediscover during the extraordinary Jubilee, up until the World Day of Social Communication, planned for May 8, 2016," CEI said in a statement. The first film is Edoardo Winspeare's "Thanks to God". Others include Nanni Moretti's "My Mother" and "Philomena" by Stephen Frears.
