Student protestors burn Salvini, Di Maio dummies

Budget 'ignores students' problems' say pupils

Student protestors burn Salvini, Di Maio dummies

Turin, October 12 - Student protestors in Turin on Friday burned dummies made up to look like deputy premiers Matteo Salvini and Luigi Di Maio. The demonstration in Turin was one of only dozens throughout the country staged by high-school students against the policies of the 5-Star Movement (M5S)-League government. The students complain that, among other things, the government's budget plans ignore the needs of students and they are demanding interventions to bring down study costs. The protests caused significant traffic disruption in Rome.
