Tiziano Renzi to be heard next week in relation to CONSIP probe

Rome, February 17 - Tiziano Renzi, father of former premier and Democratic Party (PD) leader Matteo Renzi, has been placed under investigation for alleged influence peddling in relation to a probe of suspected corruption at civil service procurement agency CONSIP, it emerged late Thursday. Renzi, who claims his innocence and has expressed his confidence in the magistrature, will be questioned by Rome prosecutors next week.
