Govt puts judges-retirement bill to confidence vote
Part of drive to improve court efficiency

Rome, October 19 - Reform and Relations with Parliament Minister Maria Elena Boschi announced in the Senate on Wednesday that the government has put its bill on improving the efficiency of Italian courts to a confidence vote. The bill includes a measure to delay retirement for top judges at the Audit Court, the Council of State, which deals with administrative justice, and the supreme Court of Cassation.
