Nursing home couple nabbed for embezzlement
'Despoiled residents of two million euros'

L'Aquila, October 18 - Two resting home managers were arrested Tuesday on suspicion they despoiled severely impaired residents of two million euros. The suspects named only as P.M., 65, and his wife G.B., 64, used the funds embezzled from schizophrenia or Parkinson's sufferers to pay for nursing home staff, repairs, and renovations. The alleged victims are all dead, and finance police are trying to locate their heirs. The incident took place in the medieval hamlet of Fontecchio in Italy's Abruzzo region.
