Measure to promote private-sector generational renewal

Budget to allow part-time for over-60s says Poletti

Rome, December 29 - Labor Minister Giuliano Poletti said Tuesday the government's 2016 budget law includes measures allowing private-sector employees aged over 60 to work part-time for the last three years prior to retirement, while still receiving a full pension when they retire. The measure allows such employees to work half-time at 65% of their salaries, with the State making up the difference in their pension payments. The measure is designed to promote generational renewal in the private business sector, Poletti told La Stampa daily.
